The Figure Skating Club of Park City could not survive without our dedicated families and community members’ volunteer support.
In order to ensure that the club receives the volunteer support necessary to operate our club, members will agree to a volunteer charge at the time of registration.
Volunteer opportunities will be posted as they become available through the Playmetrics system. Typical volunteer opportunities include club ice monitoring, committee participation, week-of-show preparatory activities, day-of-show activities, and other club-related tasks that benefit our members.
Members of the Figure Skating Club of Park City are required to participate annually in the club’s fundraising efforts. Annual membership dues cover only a portion of the FSCPC operating costs. In addition, we require approximately $40,000 in fundraising dollars to cover all the amazing club benefits we offer each year. Proceeds from our fundraisers benefit ALL FSCPC club skaters and are used to help subsidize many different activities including, but not limited to shows, training equipment, ice costs, social activities, athlete financial support and enrichment clinics.
First Year, Returning, Adult, and Collegiate* members are required to participate annually in FSCPC fundraising efforts. All other membership types do not have any fundraising requirement but are encouraged to support fundraising activities.
Skaters who exceed fundraising goals are on their way to earning rewards! Full, Introductory, Aspire, Adult and Collegiate Club members that fundraise $500 or more will earn reimbursement rewards that can be used to offset skating costs. Rewards are capped at $599 for the club year to remain in compliance with 501(c)(3) laws. Rewards will be issued at the end of the club year, in June, and will be paid out by Zelle or Check. More details can be found here.
FSCPC offers several fundraising options annually throughout the year to allow families flexibility in the type and timing of their fundraising efforts. All fundraising will count toward the 10 unit fundraising requirement.
We are very proud to offer a robust suite of recognition and financial assistance benefits for our skaters who have reached important milestones.
The following benefits are available to all eligible members, at all skating levels! Additional benefits may be available, as outlined in the FSCPC Handbook.
Should a skater land an Axel jump for the first time during the Membership Year, they will be presented with an Axel Rose (corresponding to the number of rotations) during the Spring Banquet in recognition of their accomplishment. Achievement will be determined by the Coaches and provided to the Recognition Chair.
The FSCPC Junior Board will maintain a bulletin board in the lobby of the Ice Arena to recognize all member skaters' achievements, at all levels!
All Club Members will receive an invitation to the Annual Club Banquet in the Spring where skaters at all levels are recognized for their progress, accomplishments and achievements!
During the Annual Spring Banquet, all Returning Club Members, meeting the eligibility criteria outlined above, are given a gift in recognition of their membership.
Achievements of all members, regardless of membership type are regularly recognized on the Club and Ice Arena social media.
If you do not want your skater to be posted on the club social media accounts, please reach out to Erika at erika.m.roberts@gmail.com.
